It is that time of year again when our trends and themes for the coming season are finalised and we are able to share with you.

Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without the traditions of red, green and gold, however over the past few years there have been another of themes that have also been extremely popular for Christmas decorating, and 2019 is no exception.

Each year we like to identify the major themes or trends for the coming Christmas season.  In 2018 there is a return to fun whimsical styling, as well as the continued interest in non-traditional Christmas colours including pinks and blues.

Each year we create our summary of the Christmas trends based on our visits to Australian and overseas markets, suppliers and manufacturers.  The 2017 trends include old favourites of red, green gold but also some stunning uses of blues and various tones of pink.

We are delighted to present our Christmas Themes 2016.  These trend boards are the consolidation of our buying trips throughout Australia and overseas.

This year I was lucky enough to visit two of the most significant Christmas decoration fairs in the world. The first was the Dallas Market and second Christmasworld in Frankfurt, Germany.These 2 fairs, plus the offerings of the Australian suppliers provide us with the ultimate understandings of the trends for the coming year.

Each year it is nearly impossible to narrow down the options to choose the main feature tree designs for our tree. These feature trees are designed to illustrate wonderful colour options, as well as creative ways of using less traditional items in the tree.

After looking at the top 5 Christmas Decorating Trends we spotted at the Dallas Market in my last post, I thought I would share my favourite finds from the show.

One of our favourite glass suppliers, Inge Glas in Germany, work with a number of other European companies each year to create the Annual Christmas Trends List. This year, they have identified 5 key trends for the European market.
