Visiting the Dyker Heights Christmas lights was a must whilst in Brooklyn. They're famous worldwide for their divine opulence, all dreamed up by the local residents. People come from miles to walk through this gorgeous Christmas wonderland, and for one night, we joined them.

How could it be that the owner of a Christmas store, and all-around Christmas lover, had never been to the city that never sleeps - New York, at Christmas time? When the mercury started rising in Australia, the time had come for her to pack her stocking and take off for the Big Apple. Hello Christmas in New York!

Each year we create our summary of the Christmas trends based on our visits to Australian and overseas markets, suppliers and manufacturers.  The 2017 trends include old favourites of red, green gold but also some stunning uses of blues and various tones of pink.

Each year Raz Imports create Christmas themes that draw together stunning collections of ornaments for both the Christmas tree and table top displays.  What they also do is provide visual inspiration of these themes in stunning feature tree images.

Each year we open our Melbourne Christmas shop for 4 months from September.  While I wish we were sitting under a palm tree reading a great book in the off-season, it is the time when the store is closed we plan, buy and most importantly revamp our store hoping to create a wonderful new experience for everyone who visits.

Many people haven't heard of picks but these are the sprays of flowers, branches and leaves that we add to our Christmas trees and table top displays to create real "wow" factor. To put it simply, they are decorations on sticks!
