My husband and I wanted to celebrate a white Christmas many years ago, and we couldn’t imagine anywhere more perfect that staying at Chateau Lake Louise in the Canadian Rockies. The stunning town of Banff is just down the road, so a few days before Christmas way back in 1999 we were lucky enough to visit “The Spirit of Christmas” Christmas Shop in Banff.

Only a few months ago one of my dear friends was exploring the Rockies on the tourist train so I asked her to visit the store and take some photos for me. Clearly it is just as beautiful as I remember with rooms and rooms of gorgeous decorations, and she thoroughly enjoyed her visit.

As well as general decorations, they have a big range of collectibles, and of course a wonderful range of souvenir decorations. A must visit if you are traveling this stunning part of the world.
