Well, here's my first attempt at using mesh to create a wreath. In this example I wanted to work purely with the mesh and ribbons, however you could obviously add other decorations to this piece.

We work with a special wire base that has ties on it and no foliage. Makes it very easy to tie the ribbon/mesh onto the wreath base. I used two styles of the 50cm wide mesh to create the base. Then to that I simply added some deco tubing, a narrower silver ribbon and a couple of twisted silver glitter sticks (like pipe cleaners).
